Nothing Will Get You More Jacked Up For The Olympics Than This Chart Showing How Awesome America Is

The United States is the greatest country the world has ever known and this isn’t an opinion, this is 100% FACT etched in gold. We’re almost exactly one week out from the opening ceremonies of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, which by all accounts are going to be a complete shitshow and security disaster, but below is a chart that will give you a reason to be hopeful for the Rio Olympics.

Put together by Cork Gaines of Business Insider, this chart shows just how dominant the USA is during the Summer Olympics, and how we as a nation are so far ahead of second place it’s almost sad that anybody even bothers competing against us. Don’t worry if you find yourself wanting to ride an American Buffalo after seeing these stats, that’s a completely normal reaction, just make sure to consult a doctor if you have a freedom boner lasting longer than 17 hours and 76 minutes (or 18hrs16min, but that doesn’t sound right):

I know I’m not alone in feeling like this right now:

The United States has more GOLD MEDALS than the next existing country has in TOTAL medals. We also have more total medals than the next two countries COMBINED, and one of those countries doesn’t even exist anymore so if we go with ‘countries that still exist’ the stats become even more impressive. That’s how fucking untouchable we are at the Summer Games, and we don’t require a state-sponsored doping program like the cheating Russians.
