When the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals take the field on Sunday, the mood will surely be a lot different than it was the last time these two teams met.

During the Week 17 game between the teams a few weeks back, Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during the game and had to be revived on the field. Hamlin, thankfully, survived and is now on his road to recovery.

Speaking to the media of Sunday’s rematch, Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins — who was involved in the play that triggered Hamlin’s cardiac arrest — expressed his excitement over the prospect of getting to see Hamlin this weekend.

“I’m pretty sure we’re just going to chop it up, laughs and giggles and just be happy to see him,” Higgins said Thursday about a potential conversation with Hamlin prior to the AFC divisional round game on Sunday.

Higgins was in communication with Hamlin’s family in the days following the Week 17 game that was ultimately canceled following the injury. He said he hasn’t yet spoken to Hamlin.

“Just letting his family do what he needs to do with all his loved ones and stuff like that,” Higgins said. “Hopefully I get to see him on the field Sunday and speak to him.” [via ESPN]

The Bengals and the Bills will face off in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday at 3 p.m. EST. At this time, the Bills are about five-point favorites.

In the other AFC Divisional Round matchup, Patrick Mahomes and the #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs will be hosting Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. EST.

Over in the NFC, the #1 seed Philadelphia Eagles will host the New York Giants on Sunday, while the San Francisco 49ers will be taking on Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday evening.
