O’Brien took to Twitter to apologize to fans.
I take full responsibility. I'm grateful for my teammates, coaches, and Vol nation. It has been and honor to help bring this program back.

Although this would be O’Brien’s third team violation in the last two years, he was suspended in 2015 for two games for violating team rules and also was arrested in 2014 for underage drinking and resisting arrest, it’s still pretty crazy how quickly O’Brien was sent packing by the Vols considering he put his body on the line and nearly got paralyzed for the sake of the team just two days ago.
