It’s been an abysmal season for the Houston Texans this year but the team is finding bright spots to be proud of.

Rookie Jalen Pitre has been a monster this year and the organization was showing him some love on Monday. However, the fanbase roasted him and the team instead.

According to the Texans, Jalen Pitre is the first rookie in NFL history to record 125+ tackles and five interceptions in a single season. Those are impressive numbers for anybody. The rookie safety has surely proven to be an asset for this franchise moving forward, as he seems like a key piece for the front office to build around.

You’d think this is something Texans fans could celebrate considering how bad the team is as a whole. Regardless, the fanbase found ways to be upset with their phenom rookie and the defense.

To be fair, that’s a ton of tackles for a safety. Typically tackle leaders play middle linebacker. With the Texans struggling to stop the run this season, the fanbase points out how Pitre’s stat is a bad look for the front seven.

It’s hard to ignore how bad Houston is at stopping the run.

Several Texans fans point out that Jalen Pitre might actually struggle with tackling. If that’s the case, then that means he could have had more!

Houston’s offense couldn’t get anything rolling.

At the end of the day, this is a big accomplishment for Jalen Pitre. Hopefully, the Texans can continue building their roster, as they need as much help as they can get to become competitive once again.
