In case you somehow missed it, It’s Masters Week at Augusta National Golf Club. The sports world is focused on the most prestigious golf tournament in the world, and it’s truly a spring tradition.

Texas A8M baseball is clearly paying attention to the Masters. On Thursday, they turned a home run into an opportunity for a Masters-inspired celebration.

It’s been a rough year for the Texas A&M Aggies. Their coach, Jim Schlossnagle, left the program just days after he led them to the brink of a College World Series title, losing Game 3 of the series to SEC rival Tennessee. They’re just 17-5 and a putrid 3-9 in conference play under former assistant Michael Earley.

If they’re going to turn around their season and make a run at qualifying for the NCAA Tournament, it needs to start in this weekend’s home series against South Carolina, another team at the bottom of the SEC baseball standings.

Enter Blake Binderup.

That’s a huge grand slam for the redshirt sophomore to give the Aggies a commanding lead. And, check out the celebration.

Creative celebration, but why are they putting the Green Jacket on him before he putts? They should wait until he puts, then crown him the champion.
