Texas swiped rival Texas A&M’s baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle just hours after he’d lost a national championship matchup at the College World Series. Since, a number of Longhorn fans have taken the moment to gloat.

One Aggies cheerleader took a stand on social media Wednesday, voicing support for her beloved university. She wasn’t having it!

The competitive cheerer, Sydney Muck, replied to a post insinuating Schlossnagle left College Station due to the Aggies not having female cheerleaders on the sidelines during football games.

That suggestion was taken by some as a slight to the university’s student body as a whole.

Now, Texas A&M is a place unlike any other – and some like to blast them because of it. Deep-rooted tradition often trumps the new norms of college sports, making the campus seem almost cult-like to those who aren’t familiar with the school.

From Yell Leaders, who take the place of your typical football cheerleaders on Saturdays in the fall, to the Aggie War Hym, which has been mocked by many – including Lane Kiffin.

College Station is just different.

Those that attend the university love the intricate focus placed on preserving history and tradition. Those that don’t, laugh.

One particular Texas poster opted to troll its rival by giving an opinion on why Jim Schlossnagle left Texas A&M. The fan received an immediate response!

Again, the focus being on the strangeness that is College Station referenced with a photo of Texas cheerleaders next to A&M Yell Leaders.

But while they may not be on the field during football games in Kyle Field, the Aggies do boast a competitive cheer squad – and it’s quite good!

Sydney Muck let everyone know while putting the college sports world on notice.

“We do exist, you know and [we’re] D1 National Champions.”

The Aggies won the 2023 NCA National Championship with a historic performance in April of last year.

History sure was made this week in Daytona Beach, Florida. Not only is this the highest score our program has received, we were the highest scoring team in the Intermediate Division, and by only .07, we successfully earned the 2nd highest score out of the entire NCA Collegiate National Championship.

It was the program’s third title, according to its social media outlets.

Aggies football, basketball, or baseball may not own any titles dating back to 1939, but Texas A&M cheer reigns supreme. As it stands, though, Longhorns were able to swipe the Ags’ baseball coach less than 24 hours after the program’s most successful season.

Let the rivalry beefs continue!
