If you’re not already familiar with the name Kentorion King, now is the perfect time to hop on the bandwagon before everybody else.
King is a senior football player at Waxahachie High School in Texas after spending his first three seasons at Midlothian. He’s currently ranked as a three-star recruit according to Rivals and is committed to Colorado State.
However, you can expect that rating to change and the offers to roll in for King after he went viral on social media for his unbelievable speed.
Kentorion King Has Next-Level Speed And Acceleration
While Waxahachie doesn’t officially start the 2026 season until this Friday against Ennis, the Indians have had a pair of scrimmages, the second of which came against King’s former school, Midlothian.
In that scrimmage, King scored an improbable 70-yard touchdown after catching a screen pass, breaking a tackle, and absolutely tearing away from defenders at unreal speed.
He posted a video of the play on X on Sunday, and it quickly went viral.

According to fans who did the time-and-distance calculations, King reached up to 22 miles per hour on the play. But perhaps even more impressive is just how quickly he seemed to get to full speed.
“He had to run track or do some form of speed training because this is wild,” one fan wrote.
“This clip alone will probably land him some new offers. That burst was unbelievable. Breaks one tackle and poof,” Garrett Chapman of 247Sports wrote.
According to King’s X profile, he has been laser timed at 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He also holds scholarship offers from Utah, Purdue, and Wake Forest despite committing to Colorado State on July 7.
Something tells us those won’t be the last offers King receives.
