The Fresno Grizzlies are a Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. As is the case with most minor league teams they try and pick up press where they can, and they’ve done so with The Chickle.
The Grizzlies have a two game series coming up against the Nashville Sounds, the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A’s. Nashville, like Memphis, is famous for its spicy fried chicken. For some reason, the Fresno Grizzlies got it in their head that they could do hot chicken better than Nashville and thus The Chickle was born.
It’s a pickle-spicy chicken hybrid, and fans are split on whether or not it’s the best or worst thing to ever happen to Minor League Baseball. I’ll let you bros vote on whether or not you’d eat this in the POLL BELOW, but first let’s check out the pictures of The Chickle:
Playing @nashvillesounds for 2 more, so doing some Nashville hot chicken in a big pickle. Available tomorrow (12:05) and Thurs (7:05) only. pic.twitter.com/PTzwRIdLI7
