A couple of weeks ago, basketball fans around the country got their first glimpse of Victor Wembanyama playing against NBA competition.

His debut came with a ton of hype and didn’t live up to expectations.

That brought out some hot takes from those that don’t believe he will be the superstar that many expect him to be.

He bounced back in a big way in his second Summer league game, but it seems that wasn’t enough to deter his biggest doubters.

Today we got what will likely be the worst Wembanyama take we hear all offseason.

During an appearance on “The Carton Show”, former All-NBA guard Tim Hardaway revealed that he believes Bol Bol is a better talent than Victor Wembanyama in the NBA.

This is a pretty horrendous take.from Hardaway Sr.

Could Bol Bol still turn out to be a very good NBA player? Sure, but so far he has just been a solid role player. He had the best year of his career last year in his 4th NBA season, averaging 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

He likely won’t have the opportunity to become much more than that next season as he comes off of the bench for a loaded Suns squad.

Meanwhile, Victor Wembanyama is expected to be the star of this year’s Spurs squad as a rookie.

If Wembanyama averages 9.1 and 5.8 as a rookie, panic will set in for Spurs fans.

Wembanyama has a rare combination of size and skill and at just 19 years old, he should continue to get better as he enters the NBA. The only concern about him is his frame and even that should change over the next few years.

Whatever you think about Victor Wembanyama as he comes into the league, even discussing him in the same sentence as a player that was playing 6 minutes per game a season ago is disrespectful to him as a prospect.
