Rodney Sumter is a bartender at the Pulse nightclub, and he was working on that fateful night when a madman burst into the club and killed 49 and wounded 53. Sumter is still in the hospital 10 days after the horrific event because he was shot three times and broke his arm.

However, to improve his mood, a former high school football teammate visited him at the Orlando Regional Medical Center where Sumter is still recovering. His former quarterback at Nease High in Ponte Vedra, Florida is none other than Tim Tebow.

Sumter posted this pic on his Instagram with the caption, “My high school quarterback left the Bahamas to come and see me. Tebow has always been an awesome person.”

But the former Heisman Trophy winner wasn’t the only professional athlete to visit Sumter. Orlando City captain Kaká and former baseball player Johnny Damon were also there to give well-wishings to Sumter.

Shaq was also at the hospital putting smiles on the faces of the innocent victims of the Orlando shooting.

The event was organized by Florida Governor Rick Scott to brighten the tough days of those who are still in the hospital from the deadly shooting.

Awesome gesture by all.
