Titans star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins found himself getting into a littl social media beef with former Cardinals reporter Kyle Odegard.

The feud, possibly stemming from past affiliations, has caught the eyes of NFL fans on social media.

Odegard, who had served as a reporter for the Cardinals’ official team from 2013 to 2021, had a front-row seat to a portion of Hopkins’ tenure with the team.

The talented wide receiver was acquired by the Cardinals in a trade with the Texans in 2020 and continued to perform at an elite level until his release during the 2023 offseason.

After taking some time to weigh his options, Hopkins ultimately chose to join the Titans, signing a lucrative 2-year, $26 million contract, with the potential for an additional $3 million per year in incentives.

Following the Titans victory over the Chargers in overtime on Sunday, Odegard decided to tweet out what is a perceived decline in quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s performance when targeting DeAndre Hopkins.

The tweet in question read: “Ryan Tannehill’s numbers when targeting DeAndre Hopkins this year: 11-18 for 105 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT, 37.7 passer rating.”

In response, Hopkins took to Twitter, though he has since deleted the tweet, to question Odegard, stating, “Do you work for the Titans or Cardinals? I’m confused.”

While the online exchange did not escalate further, it appears that there may be lingering animosity between the two parties, potentially stemming from their shared history within the Cardinals organization.
