The Tennessee Titans are one of the more interesting franchises in the league right now as many changes are coming.

However, one major change has already come to fruition.

Tennessee officially announced they are releasing star left tackle Taylor Lewan, per his podcast Bussin’ With The Boys.

For now, it’s unclear what Lewan will do at this point in his career. He’s coming off of two major knee injuries in just a three-year time span. Even so, he’s sure to garner much interest from teams across the league once the free agency window opens.’

On the other hand, the star left tackle has stated multiple times that he would retire and focus on his podcast if the Titans were to cut him.

As for Tennessee, they officially enter a new era. Taylor Lewan was the longest-tenured player on the roster. He played a major role in helping turn the franchise around from being a bottom-feeder to a playoff contender.

With Lewan off of the roster, the team will gain back a massive amount of much-needed cap space. With the number of holes to fill on the roster, this was likely the smartest decision for the Titans to make.

Tennessee has the 11th pick overall in the upcoming draft. Selecting Taylor Lewan’s replacement is very much in play. Even so, there is still a ton of buzz that the Titans could opt to select a quarterback instead.

Keep an eye on this organization, as the Titans could be one of the more busy teams this offseason.
