The Tennessee Titans are doing everything possible to stay alive in the AFC playoff hunt. With a depleted offensive line and wide receiver room, the team must make big plays to compete.

Well, Roger McCreary may have just made the best defensive play in NFL history to prevent the Los Angeles Chargers from scoring a touchdown.

The NFL Twitter account shows the highlight play. Justin Herbert launched the ball deep as a last-ditch effort to put six on the board before entering halftime. The throw was a tad off, but Roger McCreary made the play anyway. Watch the Titans’ rookie cornerback make this insane play to force the turnover.

The dude caught it and passed it back to his teammate in mid-air! That’s not something you normally see in the NFL. It’s those types of plays the Titans need to stay within reach of the Chargers. Especially considering the Jacksonville Jaguars are nipping at their heels in the AFC West.

On top of that, hopefully, that play energizes the entire team. The Titans have lost a ton of juice recently and it’s unclear what’s in store for this franchise. Regardless, they’re in the middle of the playoff race and are just a few more wins away from clinching their division once again.

Look for Roger McCreary to continue developing, as his potential is through the roof. Especially if he’s going to make crazy plays like that.
