Titans Will Levis To Start Against Steelers After Electrifying Debut

In a move that surprises no one, the Titans have announced that Will Levis will take the reins as the starting quarterback in their Week 9 game with the Steelers on Thursday.

This decision was somewhat expected, given the Titans’ tight schedule and Ryan Tannehill’s ongoing recovery from a pesky high-ankle sprain. If Tannehill isn’t healthy ahead of the game as expected, Levis will get another start, according to the team.

The bigger question is, what if Levis keeps the fire burning with another great performance? will he remain the full-time starter? The Titans’ offense looked positively electric with Levis calling the shots in their 28-23 victory over the Falcons last Sunday.

The rookie QB put on a show, going 19-for-29 with 238 yards and four touchdown passes, and not a single interception in his debut.

The 2nd round pick found star wideout DeAndre Hopkins early and often for scores, connecting for three of those TDs, and he capped off the game with a fourth score to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

If Levis keeps the momentum rolling in Week 9 against the Steelers, there’s a real chance he might just snatch that starting spot from Tannehill for the rest of the season.

Speaking of Tannehill, he’s only managed two touchdowns in six games this season, while Levis already notched four in his very first outing.
