LSU linebacker TJ Dottery threw a punch at a Kentucky fan during the field storm in Lexington on Saturday. His right-hand swipe was captured on camera.
The video has been viewed more than 750,000 times on TikTok.
As of this writing, the college football program has not released a statement about the incident. Nor has the player.
Kentucky fans stormed the field on LSU.
LSU was not spared from one of the most exciting and chaotic Saturdays in recent history. The Tigers went into Kroger Field as 9.5-point favorites over the Wildcats. They lost. It was their second loss of the season, which puts them on the outside of the College Football Playoff picture looking in.
Kentucky was on the verge of defeat but Lane Kiffin decided to punt on 4th-and-1 in regulation.
Is Lane Kiffen getting soft? Instead of going for it to put the game away, he decides to punt! What would you have done in this situation? I think I would have went for it on the road! pic.twitter.com/uKpIe6KOqQ

The Wildcats got the ball back with enough time to force overtime with a field goal and scored second in the extra period. They decided to go for two. Kenny Minchey ran the ball up the middle to convert the two-point conversion. Fans stormed onto the field.

It was a picturesque night in Lexington. However, there were a few moments that were not quite as charming.
A group of Kentucky students followed Lane Kiffin as he made his way off of the field with their middle fingers held high. And then there was the punch.
TJ Dottery threw a punch.
The Southeastern Conference slapped the Wildcats a fine of $500,000 for the field storm. It changed its rules on field and court storms in 2025 to prevent a dangerous situation, like what happened with Jermaine Burton in 2022. Every team will be fined $500K for storming the field or rushing the court— no matter whether it is the first time or the 30th time. The fine will be waived if the visiting team and the game officials are allowed to get to the locker room before fans descend.
That was not the case in Lexington. Fans were on the field within seconds of the two-point conversion. LSU players had not yet made their way back into the tunnel. They were swarmed by Big Blue Nation.
One field-storming fan, who goes by @vibewithdpablo on TikTok, ran right up to Tigers linebacker TJ Dottery and shoved a phone in his face. Dottery looked back at the cinematographer and threw a punch with his right hand. It was more of a swipe.
This video has been viewed more than 750,000 times on TikTok. That does not include the reposts on Instagram or X.
And yet, as far as I can tell, this is the first article/blog/post about the video. It has not been addressed publicly. Dottery has not apologized. LSU has not condemned the behavior.
Even if Dottery had every right to be frustrated with the phone in his face, he is a professional athlete. You can’t throw a punch!
