TJ Watt gave Pittsburgh fans a scare this week with a freak slip and fall at his home. Watt fell into his pool while vacuuming, causing quite a stir on social media.

The Steelers star has seen his fair share of injuries over the last few seasons, but supporters can breathe a sigh of relief with this latest incident as he appears to be okay.

The edge rusher has blossomed into one of the game’s top defenders, winning Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2021. He’s twice led the NFL in sacks and tackles for loss, while also pacing the league in forced fumbles in 2019.

Over his six seasons as a pro, Watt has racked up a ridiculous 77.5 sacks despite having missed time with injuries over the last two campaigns.

In 2021, the pass rusher missed two games with lower body setbacks. Last year, a torn pectoral muscle and minor knee surgery kept him out of action for seven games.

This, coming after having multiple knee injuries during his time at Wisconsin.

So, when a scary incident arises, Steelers fans hold their breath.

On Thursday, Watt posted a video of him cleaning out his pool. The clip shows him stepping off the side of the deck and falling into the water.

Luckily, the defender wasn’t hurt in the accident. Still, fans were quick to post their concerns.

One person wrote, “You just gave every Steelers fan a heart attack!”

Someone else said, “WE’RE PUTTING YOU IN BUBBLE WRAP!!!!”

This fan even offered his services to keep Pittsburgh’s star safe, commenting, “Bro, I’ll clean out your pool for free.”

And of course, his brother, JJ, had to chime in.

Coach Mike Tomlin might actually have to put TJ Watt in bubble wrap this offseason to ensure he’s ready to go Week 1.
