Tom Brady’s surprising announcement on Wednesday that he will be “officially” retiring (for good this time) from the NFL has resulted in an avalanche of tributes from fans, the media, coaches, teammates, opponents, and celebrities.

Many of them are thanking him on Instagram for all the memories he created and all the accomplishments he achieved while other are just wishing him well in retirement, including his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen (we think).

“A sensational career. To say the least! Onward,” Hugh Jackman wrote.

“Man. Thank u for everything brother,” Odell Beckham Jr. commented.

“I’m getting teary eyed watching this. Sad to see you go. Welcome to the retirement world…. Again,” added Serena Williams.

Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Josh Allen, Vita Vea, Jacoby Brissett, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Von Miller, Mark Ingram, Julian Edelman, Dez Bryant, Troy Aikman, Victor Cruz, Pat McAfee, Devin Hester, Derek Jeter, David Beckham, Virgil van Dijk, Jerome Boateng, Lindsey Vonn, Tony Finau, Paul Rabil, Michael Phelps, P.K. Subban, Tie Domi, Alex Rodriguez, Diddy, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lil Duval, Donnie Wahlberg, Alexis Ohanian, Facebook, Hulu, the NFL, the Patriots, the Buccaneers, the University of Michigan, and even Duke Basketball all weighed in with their thanks and well wishes.

Recently retired JJ Watt may have left the best comment though.

“Greatest of All Time.

“No question, no debate.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege.

“PS – The newly retired group meets on the golf course every morning at 10am. Drinks are on the new guy, so bring your wallet.”

As part of his Instagram post where Tom Brady expressed his gratitude to all of those who supported him over the years, he made a special effort to thank his family, including his kids, his parents, and the mothers of his three kids: Bridget Moynahan and Gisele Bundchen.

That appreciation was reciprocated by Brady’s ex-wife Gisele in the comments of Tom Brady’s retirement post. (Or was it?)

“Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” Gisele Bundchen wrote.

Wait…

Did Gisele just “Bless your heart…” Tom Brady?

Was that the equivalent of “Best of luck in your future endeavors”?

Because that’s how a whoooole lot of fans are taking it.

“Ouch,” someone commented.

“Hitting him with the corporate response, ‘wish you well,'” another person joked.
