Tom Brady had a hilarious response upon seeing star wideout Ja’Marr Chase getting snubbed with a low rating in the latest edition of the Madden video game.

Chase, despite having a breakout rookie season in which he recorded a 1,400-yard season, is not listed as a top 10 WR according to the Madden rankings. Instead, Chase was overlooked, with players like Keenan Allen and Amari Cooper making the cut.

The pass catcher responded to the omission on social media, saying that he’ll use it as motivation.

“I’m going to keep working. Extra motivation”

While Chase plans to use the disrespect as fuel to build upon a solid professional start, one NFL legend tells him not to sweat the Madden rating.

Tom Brady responds to Ja’Marr Chase’s Madden rating snub

Tom Brady responded to the Madden rating snub by telling Ja’Marr Chase not to worry about the game’s outlook on his talent. In the long run, it has no impact on his NFL future.

After all, Brady says, the game once disrespected him, too.

Brady didn’t just get snubbed after his rookie season. He says he was left out the game altogether.

“Don’t sweat it man. Madden didn’t even put me in the game my second year”

The video game put a nameless QB No. 12 in Brady’s place, and one that had just a 57 overall rating. It’s safe to say he outplayed that rating throughout the course of his career.

Brady would go on to win the starting role in that second season, leading New England to 11 wins and his first of seven Super Bowls.

Chase will look to prove his Madden doubters wrong, too.
