With Tom Brady being retired (for now), one of the natural questions that follow is if/when Rob Gronkowski will also hang ’em up?

After all, Brady is pretty much the only reason Gronkowski is even still (again) an active player in the NFL.

In the lead up to Super Bowl LVI, the five time Pro Bowl tight end was non-committal when asked about his football future.

“I’ll figure all that out in the future,” Gronk said. “Let everything play out, then make a move. So I’m just relaxing, letting my body heal, have a good time, have some laughs.”

And while he couldn’t say what his plans for 2022 were, Gronk did have an opinion on whether or not his BFFL Tom Brady is going to actually stay retired.

“I think he’s going to come back but in a couple of years. The guy’s a beast,” he said.

Tom Brady shared his thoughts about Gronk possibly retiring for a second time

Interestingly, Tom Brady also has some thoughts on whether Rob Gronkowski, who will be 33 years-old in May, is going to/should retire for a second time.

“I don’t know. I certainly hope,” Brady said on the Let’s Go podcast this week. “I mean, I’ve watched him basically practice and play since he started in the NFL. He can certainly do it.

“It’s a big commitment for all of us. It’s a big commitment to keep playing. And I know when he’s willing to make that commitment, he’s unstoppable out there as a player. So he’ll have a lot of opportunity in every aspect of life because of who he is and his personality and what he brings to what he does.

“So I sure hope so,” Brady continued. “And there’s a lot of players that are gonna be facing those tough decisions and really weighing the risks [and] the rewards to continue to play. But Gronk is someone that I love. He’s an inspirational person for me, an inspirational friend, teammate. And I think football’s a lot better when he’s in it.”

So does Gronk’s girlfriend Camille Kostek.
