If anyone knows what it’s like to be part of an elite quarterback-tight end duo, it’s former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Tom Brady, who spent years destroying defenses alongside his buddy and fellow future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski.

With his two touchdown catches against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional round, Travis Kelce’s total of touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs now sits at 16, which is the most of all time, putting the duo one ahead of Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s 15.

Taking to Twitter on the day after the game, Brady gave a shout-out to Mahomes and Kelce for their accomplishment.

“BEASTS,” Brady tweeted. “When you one up Gronk you’re doing something right.”

Prior to the feats of Mahomes and Kelce, Brady and Gronkowski were widely considered to be the best quarterback and tight end duo in the history of the National Football League.

During his six years as the Kansas City Chiefs’ starting quarterback, Mahomes has thrown 38 postseason touchdowns, meaning almost half of them have gone to Kelce.

Unfortunately for Mahomes, however, Kelce is now 34 years old and there have been recent reports that he’s considering retiring after the season, as per former NBC Sports reporter Michelle Tafoya.

If the Chiefs are going to beat the #1 seed Baltimore Ravens and advance to their second straight Super Bowl to defend their title, they’re going to need Mahomes and Kelce to display the excellence that they’ve long displayed together
