Tom Brady Admits He’s Open To An NFL Comeback But Could Face A Major Hurdle

At this point, it’s very hard to imagine we’ll ever see Tom Brady play another snap in the NFL. However, it doesn’t sound like the man who will celebrate his 47th birthday later this year has ruled out the possibility entirely.

It’s been more than a year since Tom Brady announced his decision to retire after 23 legendary seasons where he cemented himself as the greatest quarterback in NFL history while winning seven Super Bowls and earning Most Valuable Player honors three times.

Of course, the fact that Brady had previously announced his retirement before staging a comeback with the Buccaneers meant plenty of people were skeptical that a man whose love of football supposedly led to his marriage following apart was actually walking away from the game for good.

With that said, the 2023 NFL campaign came and went without Brady taking a snap for any team for the first time in more than two decades, and he’s currently gearing up to make his debut in the booth as a broadcaster for Fox as he continues to negotiate a deal that will give him a 10% ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.

TB12 has absolutely nothing left to prove on the gridiron at this point, but during a recent appearance on The Deep Cut Podcast with celebrity barber VicBlends, he acknowledged he could probably be persuaded to mount a comeback if the right situation presented itself.

He did acknowledge his pending deal with the Raiders could complicate things, saying:

“Patriots, could be Raiders, you never know. I’m not opposed to it. I don’t know if they’re gonna let me if I become an owner in an NFL team.

I’m always going to be in good shape. I’ll always be able to throw the ball. To come in for a little bit like MJ coming back? I don’t know if they’re going to let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

Again, it’s pretty unlikely we’ll see this come to fruition regardless of the ownership issue, but crazier things have happened.
