It’s been a rough go for Tony Ferguson since 2020, as the UFC star has suffered a five-fight losing streak.

However, the fan favorite is in the news cycle for a new troubling reason.

According to MMA Junkie, Ferguson was arrested early Sunday morning with a DUI charge.

“A police spokeswoman Sunday told MMA Junkie that Ferguson’s arrest came after the truck he allegedly was driving ran into two parked vehicles, then overturned.”

MMA Junkie goes on to report, “There were two occupants inside the truck when it overturned, but fire department responders were able to pull them out without major injuries, the spokeswoman said.”

Luckily, nobody was seriously hurt, as the incident could have been substantially worse.

Additionally, Tony Ferguson is facing a misdemeanor DUI charge, “as well as other potential charges because he reportedly refused to take a field sobriety test,” per MMA Junkie.

This is a horrific look for Ferguson, as it would be for anybody being involved in an incident like this. Especially considering, “Ferguson was ‘very uncooperative’ when he was taken into custody,” according to MMA Junkie.

Perhaps this incident could lead to Tony Ferguson seeking some help. Back in 2019, Fergonson’s wife filed a restraining order against him.

Between the alleged domestic dispute cases and now this DUI charge, UFC fans just hope Tony Ferguson seeks help.

Fans really are hoping for the best for Ferguson.

With that said, keep an eye out for more updates regarding this situation.

Tony Ferguson and his team reportedly declined to comment on the alleged incident on Sunday morning. But he could address the DUI charge in the near future after the dust settles.
