The Denver Broncos could do absolutely nothing until the start of this NFL season and their offseason would still be considered a massive win. However, it seems they are nowhere near finished building their squad for next season.

Landing Russell Wilson has already made the Broncos a team to watch next season, but now their top priority in free agency has been revealed and it’s a signing that would make the Broncos a dangerous matchup for any opponent.

NFL analyst Benjamin Allbright reported on the DNVR Broncos podcast that the Broncos’ priority in free agency is to sign Chandler Jones and it seems likely they’ll be able to sign him.

Chandler Jones would give a stout Denver Broncos pass defense one of the only things it was missing last season. The Broncos were only tied for 18th in the NFL with 36 sacks last season. Chandler Jones would quickly change that.

Jones has been one of the league’s top edge rushers for years and put up 10.5 sacks of his own last season with the Arizona Cardinals. Adding him would be another massive pickup for a Denver Broncos organization that is trying to build a Super Bowl contender.

The Denver Broncos are quickly positioning themselves to become a real contender next season. If they can land Chandler Jones, there won’t be a team in the league that will want to deal with their talent on either side of the ball.
