With the NBA’s draft lottery having been drawn this week, some of the draft’s top prospects should now have a much more clear picture of what their future may hold.

We all know that the Spurs will be drafting Victor Wembanyama 1st overall, which means the rest of the draft’s top prospects now need to try and impress the Pistons, Rockets, Blazers, and Hornets.

It seems that isn’t going particularly well for one top prospect.

During an appearance on The Lowe Post podcast, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reported that former Alabama star Brandon Miller isn’t in the best shape right now and also isn’t doing well in his interviews.

Miller’s draft stock has had a brutal 2023. Between his off-court issues and a disappointing performance in the NCAA Tournament, it already wouldn’t have been a huge shock to see him fall down draft boards a bit.

Now his rough stretch appears to be continuing.

So far, his issues haven’t led to him actually falling in mock drafts. He is still currently projected to be the 3rd overall pick for the Blazers (or whoever they trade the pick to).

If he can get it together for workouts with teams, Miller’s scoring will make him very appealing to any team selecting in the top of the draft.

He averaged 18.8 points per game with Alabama last season and knocked down 38.4% of his 3-point attempts. At 6’8″, that gives him a dangerous combination of size and floor-stretching ability.

Brandon Miller has been projected as a top 3 pick for a while now, so his place on draft boards could be safe no matter what, but he should probably make sure to avoid anything else that might see him fall in the NBA Draft.
