Earlier this month, Deion Sanders‘ ex-girlfriend Tracey Edmonds announced on her social media channels that she and Coach Prime has split after 11 years together.
That barely qualifies as news, in my humble opinion. Whatever Coach Prime does away from College Football and his reality TV show is his own business. Alas, the story seemed to catch a lot of attention after she posted to social media and after Deion’s first season with Colorado came to an abrupt ending without the Buffs winning enough games to become bowl eligible.
Now, for reasons that she didn’t fully explain, Deion Sanders‘ ex Tracey Edmonds wanted to make it abundantly clear that it was she and not Coach Prime who ended their relationship. The 56-year-old TV/Film Producer made this announcement, once again, on her social media channels.
On Sunday, Tracey Edmonds wrote:
“I want to clarify that it was my decision to end the relationship, despite any different narratives being presented. I’ve chosen to prioritize myself and my family, moving forward towards a future where I am valued, treated with honesty, and free to embrace the happiness and respect I deserve.” Edmonds added “I hate to have to respond to the media, but sometimes it’s necessary when the falsehoods get out of control! ✌🏽❤️.”
After the post was up for a few hours, Deion Sanders’ ex Tracey Edmonds deleted it without any explanation. It seems odd that she’d put up an Instagram post with this message and top it off with ‘I hate to have to respond to the media’ then delete that same Instagram post once the media responds to her comments, but we’re sure Edmonds had her reasons for doing so.
Screenshots of the original post can be seen floating around on social media. But they just show the original post which was a picture of a beat and the message from Tracey Edmonds on top of that. It’s got extreme ‘live, laugh, love’ energy.
