In his first year without Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook’s numbers are mind-boggling: 31.8 ppg, 9.8 apg, 9.5 rpg for the 7-5 OKC Thunder. For perspective, Westbrook’s numbers through the 2015 season were 23.4 ppg, 10.4 apg, 7.8 rpg. He’s a certified triple-double machine, already racking up three through 13 games. The rest of the NBA has three combined (two for James Harden and one for LeBron).
Westbrook is known for being a bit stubborn and irritable when speaking with reporters and last night revealed that he doesn’t really watch film on his opponents. Instead, he plays poker on his phone or listens to music. The NBA countdown crew dissected Westbrook’s comments and Tracy McGrady came out of blue to call Westbrook “retarded.”
@awfulannouncing @tmac def just called Westbrook "retarded". Cant tell if @MichelleDBeadle says "watch urself" or "interesting" pic.twitter.com/2k2Qsvvb6F

Gotta love Chauncy’s face after McGrady’s comment.
Da fuq?
Here is the video of Westbrook revealing to reporters he skates through film sessions:
