Travis Etienne’s Little Bro Needs To Retire After Getting Completely Disrespected By Kentucky’s 350lb Lineman

Trevor Etienne, the younger brother of Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, is a sophomore running back at the University of Florida. He might want to consider retirement after Saturday’s college football game.

Although the former three-star recruit mostly plays second fiddle in the Gators backfield, he struggled to get anything going against the Wildcats defense. Etienne averaged just 2.9 yards per carry on 11 touches for 29 yards. 16 of those yards came on one very athletic carry.

His other 10 touches went for just 13 yards. But that is all beside the point.

Trevor Etienne is a talented runner!

He went for 172 yards on 23 carries in a massive win over Tennessee in Week 3. There is no denying that he is a good player.

HOWEVER, he was on the wrong end of some serious disrespect during the road loss in Lexington. It doesn’t get much more demoralizing.

Etienne is not a tall guy. He is 205 pounds of muscle, but he is only 5-foot-9.

On the other side of the ball was Deone Walker. Kentucky’s highly-touted defensive lineman stands 6-foot-6, 348 pounds. He has nine inches and 143 pounds on Etienne.

At some point during the first half, Etienne tried to run the ball through the A-gap and was stuffed for no gain. Had that been all, it would have been no big deal. It was not all.

Walker was in on the stop, picked Etienne up over his shoulder like a child, and carried him three or four yards back. Etienne was trying to get loose but it was Walker in charge of when he would be put down.

There are very few things that are more embarrassing than when a grown man is fireman carried by another grown man against his will. Etienne was the victim of the ultimate disrespect, and Florida lost 33-14.

Time to hang them up!
