Colorado Buffs two-way star Travis Hunter is making waves ahead of the NFL draft. Earlier this week, Hunter met with several teams and the media at the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

Some scouts were worried about Hunter’s durability going into the combine due to his size in college, but those concerns were squashed after he weighed in at 188 pounds, much heavier than expected.

“There were concerns he might be in the 170s. So checking in at 188, and over 6-foot, is a nice win for him. Indicates he could be sturdy enough to take on a big workload and potentially play both ways.”

Not only are teams impressed by his physique and play, but they’ve also been “blown away” by his character off the field, according to The Athletic’s Diana Russini.

“By the way, even just the character and all that stuff that teams are learning about him in these meetings, I’ve been hearing he’s been blowing them away,” Russini said on the Scoop City podcast on Thursday. “He’s a good guy.”

Bleacher Report draft expert Adam Peters believes Hunter could continue to move up the draft board after showing off his skills at his Pro Day next month.

“It feels like a guarantee that Hunter will be one of the first few players off the board, but a strong Pro Day next month will give him an even better chance of getting drafted early,”
