Being in a high-profile relationship such as the ongoing one between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, while likely thrilling, also comes with a cost, and that cost is being under the microscope at virtually all times.
Swift and Kelce certainly know a thing or two about that are their relationship has been covered and reported on for virtually six months straight.
As a result of the constant public scrutiny, Swift has reportedly laid out some rules for Kelce, some of which the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is “not happy with.”
“Travis is fine with Taylor giving him her thoughts and opinions on how to navigate such a public relationship. He really does appreciate it,” a source apparently told Life & Style Magazine. “He’s not so happy with some of the restrictions she wants in place, though.”
“For example, Travis is fine not going to strip clubs anymore (that’s one of her hard rules), but Taylor also doesn’t want him posing for photographs with female fans, mostly to avoid inaccurate headlines… He had to roll his eyes at that one.”
The source adds that Swift requires Kelce to check in via FaceTime, not text, so she can observe who he is with when they’re not together.
“Friends claim that Taylor has asked Travis to FaceTime her, not just text, when they’re apart… She didn’t overtly say it, but she secretly wants to see where he is and who he’s with. Taylor’s a good judge of character and fears that some of his buddies are red flags.”
Additionally, the report from Life & Style Magazine says that they’re both committed to making the relationship “stronger” because Swift apparently believes Kelce could be the “endgame” in terms of her settling down.
“She doesn’t want to control him — just help. He’s under a microscope now, more than ever… Taylor loves Travis and thinks these rules will help things with their romance, as well as his career, stay on the rails… They’re both committed to doing whatever it takes to make their relationship stronger.”
Following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, Kelce has joined Swift on her The Eras Tour and the pair are currently together in Australia at the time of this writing.
