Trent Richardson Says That He Will Be In The NFL Hall Of Fame, Internet Hilariously Disagrees

Running back Trent Richardson has been trending on Twitter today and there is a good reason why. He made a very bold statement that had people scratching their heads and wondering if he was crazy.

As you may recall, Richardson was the third overall pick in the 2012 draft. Something that Cleveland Browns fans are WELL aware of. After two years of under-performing there he made his way to Indianapolis where he also did very little.

In 2015 Richardson played for, well, no one.

But don’t let his stats, 2,032 yards on 614 carries for a 3.3 yards per carry average, fool you. Richardson says he’ll end up in the Hall of Fame someday. Yes, THAT Hall of Fame. The one in Canton. Ohio.

This despite a report a week ago that said it is unlikely he will even make the Baltimore Ravens roster this year.

Asked how his NFL story would end, Richardson set the bar high.

“Putting on a yellow jacket,” said Richardson, referring to making the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “People wrote him off, he came back and did some amazing things. He always had the pedigree. He just had to get back to the guy that we know.”

Well, he certainly got one part of that right. People have most definitely written him off.
