Trent Williams went viral Thursday night for throwing a punch at a Giants defender. It’s not the first time he’s been caught in the act.

While a member of the Washington Commanders, the offensive lineman threw a jab at Richard Sherman, hitting him in the face during postgame handshakes.

That clip is recirculating on social media following his latest offense.

After finishing a playoff game against the Seahawks, Trent Williams confronted Sherman and threatened to punch him. And punch him, he did.

The offensive lineman landed a haymaker to Sherman’s jaw, though it didn’t seem to bother the defensive back all that much. Sherman laughed it off after the fact, and it seems he didn’t take it personally.

“During the game there’s a few back and forths between Trent and I and Chris Clemons and a few other guys,” he said in an interview years later. “Trent apparently took exception… The rest is history, as I say. We had a conversation right after that consequently, a text and phone conversation and cooler minds prevailed and we’ve been friends ever since. But, you know, the clip still lives.”

It seems to be a common occurrence as he’s made headlines once again for his extracurricular activities on Thursday.

Just before the halftime break, Williams threw a punch to the facemask of Giants defender A’Shawn Robinson. He was not ejected from the game, but he did land an unsportsmanlike penalty.
