It was first reported in December 2021, that Tristan Thompson was going to become a father for the third time (now he has 4 kids).

This revelation came after text messages leaked, allegedly showing Tristan offering Maralee Nichols $75,000 ‘to stay quiet’ about her pregnancy. At the time, Thompson was with Khloe Kardashian who he has a daughter and a son with.

Tristan how has 1 son with an ex-girlfriend born in 2016 who he pays $40,000/month in child support to. Thompson has a son and daughter with Khloe Kardashian. They welcomed their son in July 2022. And now TMZ Sports reports that Tristan Thompson settled his paternity suit with Maralee Nichols and will pay her a lot of money going forward.

Tristan Thompson has hammered out a paternity settlement for his second-youngest child — where he’ll shell out monthly … TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us … Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols have agreed to terms for Theo, their 1-year-old son. We’re told Tristan will pay $9,500 a month in child support and also covered some of Nichols’ lawyer fees.

The $9,500 may seem low considering his NBA contracts have totaled $100M over the span of his career — but he isn’t currently on a team and therefore not earning income, and income is the operative factor in determining child support.

Tristan Thompson was on 3 different NBA rosters in the 2021-22 season. Sacramento paid him $6.3M, Indiana paid him $2.66M, and the Chicago Bulls paid him $1M. But he isn’t currently on an NBA roster after 11 seasons in the league where he earned a total of $116,140,044.

The $9,500/month is less than 25% of what he’s paying in child support to the mother of his oldest child.

Tristan previously posted to his Instagram Stories that he did father a child with Maralee Nichols. Thompson will now be listed on the birth certificate as the father.

His apology read “I take full responsibility for my actions,” Adding “Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal, both publicly and privately.”

He went on to say “Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” Thompson added “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.” Tristan finished with, “I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think.”
