No Money For New Fishing Lures? Use Your Old LEGOs And Catch Trout Like This Guy

If you’re not constantly checking and maintaining your fishing equipment, you can lose a lot of lures and things can get really expensive in no time at all. At several dollars a pop for artificial lures, when you lose one to a fish or a snag it’s pretty damn frustrating. But what is a fisherman left to do?

Making your own lures is often laborious and requires time that’d be better spent on the water fishing. Well, this Florida bro had an epiphany to strap two LEGOs together with a hook in between, and toss it out on the flats while fishing for speckled trout, and trout he caught!

As you can see here all it takes to catch fish is two LEGOs, which about 80% of all guys should have laying around in bulk somewhere, and a fishing hook.

And there you have it, today’s fishing life hack that’ll save you a few dollars as soon as trout season opens up. Methinks this lure setup would also work swimmingly for largemouth bass as well.

Also, for those of you that may not have LEGOs readily accessible, I came across this video on how to make a lure using a penny:
