The terrifying moment reportedly occurred during an amateur league game in Turkey when Mehmet Degirmenci was given a red card after committing a blatant foul for basically kicking the living hell out of Kayhan Karakas’s legs to take him down. And instead of bitching at the ref for the red card, he decided to finish off a defenseless Karakas with a swift, powerful kick to the face for good measure.
So what did Degirmenci do after this bullshit move? He ran away from everyone trying to get at him, scurrying down the tunnel like a frightened squirrel. Sounds about right.
Amazingly, Karakas somehow managed to continue playing, saying “I did not want to leave my friends alone.”
Degirmenci, the raging asshole who kicked him, has already been dismissed from the league.
