The Seattle Seahawks put up a valiant effort but in the end, it wasn’t enough to overcome the New Orleans Saints. This franchise has played much better than anticipated, especially with Geno Smith leading the way under center. However, Tyler Lockett had some choice words for the referees on Sunday’s game as he blasts them amid Seattle’s loss.
Tyler Lockett Is Not Happy With Referees Amid Seahawks Loss To Saints
According to Gregg Bell, the veteran wide receiver wasn’t too happy with how the referees handled the game. Lockett appears to claim New Orleans received calls in favor to them. To his credit, the Seahawks were called for more penalties than the Saints were. However, Tyler Lockett claims, “Man, it was so hard for us to even get a flag for us in that game. It was ridiculous.”

The referees have been rather unpredictable this season (as they are every season), which makes it difficult for everyone involved. We just witnessed Jerome Boger throw a flag on a guy for sacking Tom Brady on Sunday. Whether it’s bad calls, missed calls, or something in between, the refs must be better for the integrity of the game.
Tyler Lockett could very well be right with his criticism. The Seahawks had a touchdown taken away due to a penalty call. On the other hand, the Saints were able to play their style of game and didn’t have too many flags thrown at them.
We’ll see if the referees can improve. That might be wishful thinking though, as NFL refs haven’t been the most consistent.
