Tyreek Hill Cryptically Teases Potential Reunion With Kansas City

Tyreek Hill is set to return to the NFL in October.


Tyreek Hill is currently away from the field and without a team as he recovers from a knee injury suffered last September with the Dolphins. The wideout suggests a return is coming soon.

He provided a potential landing spot with a cryptic message on social media. Is a reunion with Kansas City in the works?

Hill has not played a down of football in over a year. His 2025 campaign ended on September 25th last season during a game vs. the Jets.

The receiver dislocated his knee and tore his ACL after being tackled. He provided an update from the hospital after the fact.

When will Tyreek Hill return?

Agent Drew Rosenhaus gave a timeline for the expected comeback earlier this month. He anticipates that Hill will be ready to roll in mid-October.

“His doctors have recommended he postpone his comeback until perhaps sometime in October,” Rosenhaus said on the Pat McAfee Show. “We’re playing it on the safe side. We’re not in a rush. We just want him to be completely healthy.”

Rosenhaus sent clips of the NFL star running routes and working out to a few different franchises. He says that teams are interested.

Hill has been one of the league’s most dynamic weapons throughout his 10-year pro career. He racked up four 1,000-yard seasons in Kansas City before signing a mega-deal with Miami in 2022.

Over the last decade, Hill has totaled 11,363 yards and 83 touchdowns. He led the NFL in both categories in 2023. Two years later, he is team-less. That shouldn’t be the case much longer.

The wideout is ready to come back.

Over the weekend, he posted a message on X referencing his recovery. He insinuated that his return would come soon.

Hill double down on that outlook Wednesday. He also teased his next destination.

Tyreek Hill is “ready for some cold weather.” What does it mean?

There are a few different ways of reading into the cryptic post. Maybe “cold” is a reference to playoff weather. That suggests he’s looking to join a Super Bowl contender.

Or maybe it’s a more direct reference to location. A number of cold-weather teams are in need of pass catchers.

USA Today listed a few different landing spots following Hill’s post. Included were Minnesota, New York, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh.

Other potential teams include the Ravens, Texans, and Chiefs, according to Bleacher Report.

One team that checks both the cold-weather location and Super Bowl contender boxes is Kansas City.

The Chiefs are 3-0 this year. They are hungry to return to the postseason after missing the playoffs in 2025. That came after three straight Super Bowl appearances.
