  • The Cincinnati Bengals upset the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
  • Following the game, Bengals CB Eli Apple and Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill were chirping each other on social media.
  • Apple, who made headlines last week for criticizing fans in New York and New Orleans, called Hill a “baby.”

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple — two key figures in Sunday’s epic AFC Championship — took to Twitter to fire shots at each other following the game.

Apple, who made headlines last week for his disparaging comments about New York Giants and New Orleans Saints fans — Apple previously played for those two organizations — took to Twitter following the game to call Hill a “baby.”

Hill, who posted seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ losing effort, responded to Apple, saying that he doesn’t want to engage in a Twitter beef and that the Bengals corner should just contact him directly.

With their win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Apple, Joe Burrow, and the Cincinnati Bengals will head to Los Angeles to take on Matthew Stafford and the Rams in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, February 13.

The Bengals’ trip to the Super Bowl is even more remarkable when you consider where they’ve been in recent years, as the team posted just two wins back in 2019 and four wins during the 2020 season. Obviously, the organization’s fate changed drastically when they drafted LSU quarterback Joe Burrow last year, who has already established himself as one of the league’s best QBs, as he’s become the first QB drafted first overall to lead his team to the Super Bowl in his first 2 seasons.
