UCF Is So Bad At College Football That A Local Bar Is Offering Something Special Till They Win A Game

If you’re a college football fan and cheer for the light gold and black of the UCF Knights, this season has already been a forgettable one.

Sitting at 0-4 after losing to Furman last week—yes, FURMAN!—the Knights’ football program has fallen hard after that Fiesta Bowl win from a couple years ago, finding themselves a mainstay in ESPN’s Bottom 10 each week and giving anyone who cheers for them ZERO hope of good times to come.

At least one Orlando bar is taking advantage of the pathetic start by the Knights, though, as a place called The Basement is offering up FREE BEER to everyone until UCF actually wins a football game, taking the whole “drowning your sorrows away” thing a little too seriously.

Who am I to knock this idea, though? As a Cleveland sports fan, if a bar had already done this, I would be packing about two bills more onto my waistline and have a plaque at the bar top with my name on it.

This will probably end badly for some people, but, hey, it’s free booze, so I’ve got a feeling a lot of UCF fans will actually be cheering against their team the rest of the year.
