Last week, Central Florida kicker Donald De La Haye posted a video on Youtube called ” Quit College Sports or Quit YouTube,”. In the video De La Haye claimed that the school informed him he would be in violation of NCAA bylaws if he made any money off of his Youtube channel which currently has nearly 60 thousand subscribers and 2.7 million views.
“I feel like they’re making me pick between my passion in what I love to do, make videos and entertain, be creative, and my other passion, which is playing football.”
So far it seems like De La Haye is refusing to back down to the NCAA after posting this video called “(College sports) be like …” which mocks the way the college football system tries to control his every move.
Props to De La Haye for standing up to the NCAA because it’s complete bullshit that they won’t allow a kid to make a few bucks for making creative videos during his free time.
