Former NFL player Josh Hokit is ready to accept Jake Paul’s boxing offer.

Last week, Paul caused a stir online when he confidently said that he would easily make an NFL roster if he tried out today.

“I mean it’s pretty simple – just like when I started boxing, it’s funny to see the tweet deleters out there, non-believers, naysayers. I think there’s a lot of super mediocrity in the NFL and a lot of not good athletes,” Paul said.

“A lot of people dropping passes on a consistent basis. I have better hands, faster, stronger, and I work harder than them. Really all it’s going to take is me, after boxing, practicing some routes. I have a couple of teams and coaches who have already spoken with me and are interested in bringing me on. It’s going to be quite easy.”

After receiving backlash over his comments, Paul offered NFL players $1 million to any of them who could box better than he could run routes.

Hokit, who played briefly for the 49ers, accepted Paul’s challenge.
