The Urban Meyer era in Jacksonville has gotten off to a horrendous start. The Jags are 0-2 and look destined to occupy the basement of the NFL standings at the end of the season and Meyer appears to be in over his head. Jaguars fans can’t be happy with what they’ve seen thus far and a new video of Meyer realizing just how good players in the NFL won’t give the fanbase any added confidence moving forward.

The Jags fell to 0-2 on the year after falling to the Denver Broncos this past Sunday. Denver head coach Vic Fangio was asked about what he and Meyer discussed during warmups ahead of the game, and Fangio’s answer was somewhat shocking.

“I don’t know Urban Meyer at all, really. I met him the other day, shook his hand before and after the game. His comment to me was that every week is like playing Alabama in the NFL,” Fangio explained. “Everyone is capable of beating everyone in this league.”

It’s easy to read Fangio’s comments and not entirely believe them, Meyer can’t honestly be surprised about how good every team in the NFL truly is.

Well, it turns out that Meyer not only said that each week is like playing against Alabama, but he also had the revelation that there are “a lot of good players” in the NFL.

The video of Meyer making the comment is making the rounds on social media, and it’s honestly hilarious.

Meyer obviously knew what he was getting into when he took the Jags head coaching job, he knew how many unbelievable players there are in the league given how many players he’s coached to get to the NFL. But wow, is that an odd thing to say to another head coach when you know you’re mic’d up and on camera.
