USC Equipment Truck Allegedly Pulled Over By Local Police Prior To Notre Dame Game

One of the biggest parts of college football that the general fan base doesn’t know a lot about are the equipment trucks travelling coast to coast each week to get teams’ equipment to where it needs to be. But, for the USC equipment truck traveling cross-country to South Bend, Indiana, things got interesting.

First off, it’s quite the trip anyway. According to google maps, it’s a 30-hour drive of over 2000 miles from Los Angeles to South Bend.

Likely, USC’s equipment managers and their army of student interns packed up that truck early Wednesday morning with more equipment than you can possibly imagine. It can’t fly on the plane, as it adds a ton of weight to the plane and there’s so much equipment it becomes hard to store with room for anything else.

On Wednesday afternoon USC’s equipment truck probably pulled out of the football facility to start a routine trip to an opponent’s stadium, with some very important cargo in tow.

But, it appeared to hit a hiccup on the last leg of the trip, as photos showed the truck pulled over in South Bend by police.

It’s unknown what the truck was pulled over for. Who knows, it could have been a very funny prank. But, my guess is getting pulled over is not a regular occurrence for the USC equipment truck.

#10 USC will take on #21 Notre Dame Saturday at 7:30PM on NBC.
