Spurs center Victor Wembanyama and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo put on an absolute show on Thursday night in their nationally televised matchup on TNT. The rookie and veteran are two of the most physically imposing and unique players to ever play in the NBA.

Despite the Spurs being one of the worst teams in the NBA and the Bucks one of the best, this was a game right down to the wire, with Milwaukee ultimately pulling out a 125-121 win.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a monster game, scoring 44 points and adding 14 rebounds and 7 assists. That’s a huge performance, but we’ve become accustomed to those games from one of the best players to ever play. The focus was undoubtedly on the rookie phenom from France that has been billed as a once-in-a-generation talent.

After a cold start, Victor Wembanyama shined, scoring 28 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. This dunk in the second half went absolutely nuts on social media.

That’s pretty ridiculous for anyone to do, let alone someone that is 7-feet-3-inches tall and only 20 years old. But, this block by Victor Wembanyama on Giannis Antetokounmpo may be even more impressive. Take a look.

That is a ridiculous block, and the fact that it’s against Giannis makes it even more incredible. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen someone go up with Giannis like that. While the Spurs ultimately lost, that block kept it at a one possession game with 24 seconds remaining.

Wembanyama has really been coming into his own as of late. He’s had at least 20 points on 50% shooting or better in four straight games. The Spurs are 5-30, and they aren’t going anywhere this year. But Victor Wembanyama looks to be on track to maximize his insane potential.
