The NBA Draft Lottery kicks off at 8 P.M. Eastern on ESPN. Victory Wembanyama is one of the most highly anticipated prospects we’ve had for the league in a while.

Fans of whichever team wins the lottery is certainly going to celebrate like the Chicago Blackhawks did after they secured the top pick in the NHL Draft Lottery.

Although there aren’t many (or really any) negative aspects to Wembanyama’s game, Adrian Wojnarowski’s latest comments about the top prospect still turned heads.

During the early pre-draft lottery show on NBA Today, Wojnarowski was talking about the anticipation for Victory Wembanyama entering the league.

That’s when he made a statement that has basketball fans completely baffled.

I don’t care what your opinion is of Wembanyama, that is an incredibly bold statement.

Especially considering how big of a prospect LeBron James was coming out of high school.

It’s not secret that Victor Wembanyama is a generational prospect coming into the NBA. But to suggest he’s a better prospect than LeBron James was is a bit absurd.

Basketball fans couldn’t help but point this out either.

Especially after seeing what James has become. Wembanyama has a long road reach that potential.

I guess they did.

Somebody knock on some wood to prevent the jinx.

The 2003 Draft hype was at a whole different level.

Don’t get me wrong about Victory Wembanyama. The kid has serious talent and is in line to become a superstar in the NBA.

But Wojnarowski’s comment is a bit ridiculous in terms of who the best prospect in sports history is.
