It’s currently unclear where Dalvin Cook will play next season, as rumors are the Minnesota Vikings may opt to trade the superstar running back.
Even so, amid the news and rumors continuously swirling around the league, Cook received an uplifting update regarding his shoulder injury.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Vikings running back received a post-surgery checkup on his shoulder. Additionally, Pelissero reveals that Cook put off the initial surgery the last two seasons. But “is now 100% stable and stronger.”

Overall, this is great news for Cook. Injuries have sometimes prevented him from reaching his max potential in the past.
Overcoming a shoulder injury is huge for his future outlook. Especially considering running backs take plenty of hits on the shoulders.
Regardless, it’s still unclear whether or not he’ll be playing for the Vikings next season.
With that said plenty of fans believe this update could be Minnesota’s way of garnering trade interest in Dalvin Cook. Meanwhile, others hope it means he’s healthy enough to help the Vikings.

For now, Dalvin Cook remains with the Minnesota Vikings. Perhaps the NFL Draft will provide more clarity about what’s in store for the star running back.
