One of the biggest rumors remaining in the NFL offseason is the possibility of Dalvin Cook departing from the Minnesota Vikings.

After refusing to re-negotiate his contract, the star running back has been rumored to either be cut or traded.

Meanwhile, the possibility of him remaining in Minnesota is still an option as well.

However, Dalvin Cook’s future with the Vikings might be clear now after the team made a change to its Twitter header.

The Pat McAfee Show found out that the organization made a not-so-subtle change to its Twitter header. The image used to feature Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, TJ Hockenson, and Dalvin Cook.

But that is no longer the case. In fact, the Vikings removed Dalvin Cook completely and replaced him with backup running back Alexander Mattison.

Here’s the McAfee crew talking about it on the show.

Cook is technically still on the roster. But social media has become a tool for both the teams and players to use during contract negotiations.

Additionally, the social media team isn’t in charge of who is on the roster. But the fact the Vikings organization cleared this image says a lot.

So now the rumor mill is buzzing even louder regarding Dalvin Cook, all thanks to the Vikings making this change on its Twitter header.

A trade could still come to fruition. But at this point it seems unlikely. Especially considering most teams aren’t willing to pay top dollar for veteran running backs.

The Vikings could be waiting to cut Cook post June 1 and save the maximum amount of money. If that’s the case, then both Cook and Ezekiel Elliott will be the top free agent running backs in the market.

We’ll see how it plays out, but based on this Twitter header, perhaps we’ll be seeing Dalvin Cook in a new uniform in the 2023 season.
