After the World Cup and 4th of July festivities, we are firmly in the doldrums of Summer and having to find new ways to entertain ourselves each day. Me? I’m a simple man. I go for a long run/bike/swim and then find a body of water with fish in it and try to catch one. Some dudes are much clever than I when it comes to entertaining themselves and that appears to have birthed this new 4 guys challenge.
These 4 fellas have 12 hours to hit four 40yd crossbar kicks, eat 4 pizzas, sink 4 dices in solo cup, complete 4 video games, drink 4 gallons of sweet tea, nail 400 3-pointers on the court, run a collective 40 kilometers, and bust out 4,000 push-ups along the way. Can they do it? Let’s find out…
4 Guys Challenge: Gaming, Running, Football, Pizza, Dice Sinks, Push-Ups And More
This challenge was posted by The Ginger Goblin aka @thegingergob on social media, formally known as Ethan Stansbury, a former distance runner at Liberty University. Suffice it to say he went into this with a moderate level of base fitness and the running + push-ups, while still requiring plenty of effort, weren’t going to break him.
@thegingergob 12-hour challenge: what challenges should we include next? #pushups #pushupchallenge #challenge #running #12hours
For me, the toughest part would be the 400 3-pointers. Basketball has never been my forte. I would need to lean heavily on my team to get us through that discipline in the challenge and I could then pull their weight when it came to the kilometers ran and push-ups. Seems like a fair trade to me.
This challenge is very reminiscent of a ‘5 Guys Challenge‘ I shared here on BroBible earlier in the week. The difference being that challenge is 5 guys and 24 hours versus 4 guys in 12 hours. The full format is: drink 5 gallons of milk, do 5,000 push-ups, throw 500 high fives, catch 5 fish, run a cumulative 50 kilometers, hit 500 3-pointers on the court, and complete 5 video games.
@lukaslogss 5 guys, 5 gallons of milk, 5000 pushups, 500 high fives, 5 fish caught, 50 k run, 500 three pointers, 5 video games one all in 24 hours #milk #pushupchallenge #motivation #fyp #viral
That video racked up a whopping 4 million views (and counting) this week on TikTok. Dare I say it is becoming the Summer of Inane Challenges? What’s next on deck? I’ve got one planned for the Fall in Florida where I’m going to run an ultramarathon and catch a fish for every mile ran. I haven’t settled on the distance yet, or what my fueling strategy will be, but rest assured you all will be the first to know once my plan comes together.
