Nearly one month after his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is finally speaking out.

Miller was arrested on Nov. 30  after his pregnant girlfriend called 911 claiming that he had been choking her. Police reported there was bruising on her neck.

Miller fled from police before eventually turning himself in. Though his girlfriend later recanted her claims.

The eight-time Pro Bowler met with media members on Thursday and discussed the situation at length.

“Been a crazy month,” Miller said. “Obviously there are things that I can’t talk about but everything that was out is completely wrong and blown out of proportion. Me and my girlfriend, we have problems just like any other couple does, but there has never been any of those things that was alleged against me.

“Hopefully over time, all of this stuff will get cleared up. Sometimes life just … be life-ing. You’ve just got to keep pushing and keep moving. The people who know me and the people who have been around me know my character, they know who I am.”

Miller was asked why police were called, but denied any sort of altercation.

“All of it is incorrect,” he said. “I don’t know what else … you know, it’s not a funny situation, but all of it is incorrect and all of it is untrue. The only thing that is true is we do have a third son on the way. Everything else is untrue.”

The police report from the incident stated that Miller’s girlfriend had “minor abrasions on her left hand and bruising on her neck. The report stated that the bruises on her neck were “consistent with applied pressure to the neck.”

Miller’s girlfriend initially told police that incident stemmed from an argument. She states Miller yelled at her to “get out” of their home before he “began to shove and push her, all while telling her to leave from the unit.”

Miller was involved in a similar incident in 2021. Neither the NFL nor the Bills suspended the star amid the latest allegations.
