MLB Pitcher Makes Incredible No-Look Catch Mid-Interview And Plays It Off Like No Big Deal (Video)

After suffering from elbow inflammation to begin the season veteran pitcher Wade Miley has only made two starts for his new team, the Chicago Cubs, in 2022. But it looks like his elbow is just fine, based on his most recent feat.

Miley made his first start of the year on May 10th and didn’t get off to a great start, giving up three runs in three innings. Things went a lot better in his second start of the season on Monday when he pitched seven innings allowing no runs and just one hit against the Pirates.

While that was all well and good, the most athletic thing he has done all year came in the dugout on Tuesday night.

As Chicago played to its second-consecutive shutout win over Pittsburgh, Miley hopped on the mic with the Marquee Sports Network broadcast team. During the interview, he must have been hungry, because he needed something to eat.

Miley was right in the middle of a sentence when a granola bar came flying in off of the screen out of nowhere. Without breaking his conversation or eye contact with the field in front of him, Miley proceeded to make a fantastic no-look catch with his left hand.

To make the entire thing even better, the 35-year-old pitcher didn’t even address it. He smirked a little bit at the snag, knowing full well how cool it was, but kept talking as if nothing happened.

Take a look at Wade Miley’s no-look, one-handed granola bar catch:

The catch almost looks like a video of Miley throwing the granola bar was put in reverse. It wasn’t.

If it was planned, it was impressive. If it wasn’t planned, it was downright awesome.

No matter what Miley does on the field this year, it won’t be anywhere near as cool or impressive as his one-handed catch.
