Last week, this Korean baseball player tried to be the reigning bat flip champion with this valiant effort. However no country can be more flat-out obnoxious than us. Tyler Girouard sees your laughable bat flip and raises the bar to obscene levels.
The NCAA Regionals Tournament game between Houston and UL Lafayette was deadlocked at one throughout the entire affair on Sunday. With the base loaded and one out in the bottom of the 9th inning, Girouard, the Ragin Cajuns third baseman stepped to the plate. Girouard took a pitch right in the elbow, and won the game with the always exciting walk-off hit-by-pitch.
Girouard celebrated the game by launching his bat in what may be the most obnoxious, most unwarranted, most amazing bat flip in the history of bat flips. His all-time bat flip may have impaled a 71-year-old fan, or it may have not even landed because it is now orbiting Earth. I have no idea, but it was one for the ages.
Thank you Tyler Girouard for reestablishing America’s dominance in the treasured bat flip.
